 BeamSplitters

This beam splitter divides or combines beams with desired transmittance and reflectance in a required wavelength region. Prism and plate types are both available. Metal-film types such as chrome, aluminium, silver can also be supplied.

Typical spectral characteristics

   Polarizing BeamSplitters - S-PBS and M-PBS

Polarizing beam splitters can be single or multiple, both are available. This device is a polarizing cube prism that divides laser beam or other monochromatic light into the P- and S- components at right angles with almost no absorption loss. Applications include video discs, optical data storage, and optical communications.

   Polarizing BeamSplitter Plate

This filter is of the plate type and can separate S and P polarized beams to transmit and reflect these respectively at low insertion loss. This can be smaller than a prism type, and has advantage of being free from any adhering agent in the beam path.
